Mr Ritchie was the Captain of the 3rd Glasgow BB company....a fantastic company who were responsible for the rise of Drum and Bugle Corps in Scotland that spawned five competing units in Scotland, including a British and European Champion in the Glasgow Blue Barons in 1985.

Without his leadership , over 1000 kids would never have experienced Drum Corps in the UK, which was a fantastic organisation for growth and development back in the day

There is a small museum in the Talbot House, Poperinge, near Ypres, in which is displayed a buckle from a BB belt which was found on the battle field.

Started off with the 112 in Glasgow , but they were crap at football and was asked to join the 277a in Milton.

The 277 got too big and they had to split up into an "a" and "b" section.

remember we played in the old Partick Thistle strips of red & yellow hoops (the guy that ran the team was a Harry Wragg.).

IIRC Dogleish was in the 277b.

    101st Glasgow (Broomhill)

Some great memories. We used to have some ding dong football games versus the 108 (Partick) and the 130 (?) (Broomhill).....

Unfortunately, I recently found out that Mr Miller (former Officer) past away last year which is sad news.
