He's a good business man, but a terrible Football club owner.
Notice no mention of how much the fans have spent on sports direct gear, only got themselves to blame.
Lays waste to the myth that Ashley spends money. Actually had someone state this to me recently.
The world would be a better place if he had been a stain on a sock.
Davie Provo wrote a complete BS column on why we were mad to get rid of Fat Mike - f3cking imbecile
A sobering read. Some shocking stats in there, but I found this one most revealing.
How the f88k does he get away with it??£0 Sports Direct sponsorship payments
Depends what you define as a good businessman.
If you mean being a shot up the arse barrow boy who exploits his own workforce, destroys companies and brand names using ruthless street peddler methods and got lucky doing it, then yes, he is a brilliant business man.
He certainly has the head for his own methods, but few others have the stomach for it.
Well said! We can do well without the likes of spivs like him, there are too many like him running, or should that be ruining this country. They, like him are selfish greedy and unprincipled who have no scruples about exploiting their employees as much as they can get away with.
W.A.T.P.
Interesting was the fact that pretty much all season ticket prices had gone up except their Bar 1892 ones (presume these are the more expensive ones) which decreased in price....keeping the wealthier folk happy as they are the ones most likely to cause a stir (Or at least have a voice that is heard, unlike Joe Bloggs)
Bottom line for Ashley is he's made a profit of £100 million which hasn't made its way back into club.
On top of that he gets a ton of free advertising for his main business concern.
The fans of NUFC cant really complain if they continue to support him financially. Could be a contender if they had the right structure in place.
Well rid of him and Newcastle will be relegation fodder until he is gone
