Robertson is oddly remembered by many as being slightly better than I think he actually was.

He was quick and covered a lot of ground going forward, but remember him being a bit suspect at defending.

Certainly not in the same class as Numan.

Glad Walter recognised Papac though. Just an all round good guy by the sounds of things.

Nice to see Sasa in there but it's Gary Stevens or Arthur Numan all day long for me.

He certainly did knuckle down. I wonder how many of the Monster Munch gang knuckled down when PLG was the manager

There cant be many players more consistent than Porrini. Hardly missed a game and just quietly went about his business, would be my choice at right back as well.

While i understand your point re Butcher there cant really be any argument he was a better CH than big Amo can there?

Robertson cost us two crucial goals in Europe with his inept passing

Marseille away and AEK Athens at home - Both goals come directly from him cheaply giving the ball away to the opposition.

He was excellent going forward (final ball was suspect though) but he was a horror show defensively.

Numan never played for Smith so can't be in his best 11.

Stevens was a right back while Walter never managed Numan.

Happy to see Sasa Papac in the team. My third favourite Rangers player ever after McCoist and Laudrup.

Delighted to see a true servant in there in big Sasa.

    Gutting he had to retire.

    Apart from that...what a team.
    David Robertson over them both!
I've always thought Robertson helped Laudrup become the success he was at Ibrox.
Not suggesting that Laudrup wouldn't have been a success.

    Found out?
What did Leeds find out about Robertson?
As for Europe, they were all under achievers in Europe, more so, Smith himself who should have done better with players like Goram, Gough, Gascoigne, Laudrup and McCoist.
