    Always liked this anecdote:

In another light-hearted anecdote from Blissett’s time with Milan, it is alleged that the England international famously complained that, "no matter how much money you have here, you can’t seem to get Rice Krispies.” Perhaps therein lies the answer to Blissett’s Italian conundrum; he failed to reach his full potential simply because his mind and body were not at ease without his preferred breakfast.
EDIT - supposed to quote Owen and his time at Madrid for a bit of context.

"Well done. He's 13". Well said, Southall.

At first I thought Owen was joking with the boy but he seems genuinely delighted that he scored against a 13 year old kid. W@nker.

What an absolute cockbag he is. You could see and hear Southall getting angrier at the wee prick with every shot that went in.

An international millionaire footballer going out his way to humiliate a 13 year old. A 13 year old that looked like he's never seen a pair of goalkeepers gloves before as well. Well played dickhead.

That's Prime Partridge. Could see the bold Alan firing something like that off to various radio stations in the hopes of resurrecting his career.

Tosser or not he was an absolute ride back in the day. My pals and I were absolutely obsessed with him when he first broke through at Liverpool.

Slightly amusing and OTT. A look into a world we never see. Sports people probably do this kind of shit on a regular basis but you just never see it. Shudder to think what Beckham must have put his name to in the past and had to churn out like this, as a result.

At first I thought it was a joke and I had missed the back story/build up etc but by the end it's obvious he is a dick and southall is furious with him. What a weirdo.

Some players like gazza could get away with that behaviour because they would still be good to the lad and everyone knows he's a bit stupid/daft. Owen is just a boring prick.

I answered the phone from him in the office one day, how he got our office number god only knows. His current account got declined at Liverpool Airport, 3 hours earlier he had just bought two watches at La Manga in spain with England squad. So it raised suspicion why e hours later card used in liverpool.

was a leaving lunch in the fraud team at the Chinese round the corner so had to nip round and get someone to override his decline.

I used to have a Liverpool top with his name and number on the back when I was a wee guy. Embarrassing

He was never even half the player again after the two injuries he suffered in 2006. For him to win a move to Man U, score a decent number of goals and become a league winner after that was pretty good going.
