Thread: Joe Dodoo now scoring on his debut

  1. Default Re: Joe Dodoo now scoring on his debut

I just see this as a simple stage in Joes development. Most other big clubs do it and no one bats an eyelid...Rangers do it and half of FF are either hoping they'll never be back or saying they aren't good enough.

As far as I'm thinking Dodoo is good enough to go on loan to a certain level of club(unlike Hardie) and Perdo knows it's better for him to get twenty games there rather than six at Rangers. This will only benefit us and I hope more of our younger and youth players go out to these kinds of clubs, rather than places like St.Mirren and Raith...

I thought he and McKay had genuine potential. If Joe starts to realise his he is still our player.

Sorry but the average attendance in the championship is 20k

Never rated him tbh. Wish him well but I will be astounded if he makes it at a decent level. Hope he proves me wrong.

Good on him. He also helped me win 300 from a 5 coupon. Some player is out Joe!

We're now a buy and sell club. We need to be patient.

The jersey is too heavy for him. We wish him well. Next.

Thats regarded low . Garner and waghorn are playing in an average 16k attendance (home) McKay playing at 32k average attendances .Joe dodoo at Charlton is 12k . Or we could go with Newcastle last season in the championship at 50k . Players aim to play in front of massive crowds and if anything it's a positive.

Good for him. Here's hoping he gets a good run and come back in the New Year ready to push for a starting slot

Exactly. And another striker who didn't get to play in a forward partnership. Waghorn, Garner and probably O'Halloran playing 2 up front now rahr than on their own or out wide. Our midfield was so weak we could never play 2 strikers. But Dodoo's pace would have suited playing alongside Garner.

He has the attributes to be a very good player imo. He seems to lack confidence , hopefully he gets games and a few goals down there and we can benefit either on the pitch or with a decent fee

    What are you sorry about?
    You might be right.
However, if the average is 20,000 it means there are some lower, maybe a lot lower than 20,000.
So, what is Rotherham's average attendance!

Kind of flies in the face of accepted fact.

No the point I'm making is that generally from league 1, championship ,SPL and the premier league the attendances start at around 7.5k upto 75k .saying the players we sign haven't played in front of a crowd is bullshit especially when quite a few have played for championship teams , dodoo playing for Leicester aswell . It's not a valid reason for a player not playing well.

Their manager said that he has scored in every debut in his career when he joined.

A massive crowd who are happy with a point at home is not anything like a massive crowd at home who demand 3 points every week.

0-0 at Ibrox, 10 minutes left, a young player has an easy ball to a player 10 yards behind him or a difficult ball to a winger moving at pace into a good area ahead of him. It is not debatable that if he tries the difficult pass and fails, there will be very audible and very vocal groans (and worse). If he plays the simple ball, there wont.

Why is it so hard to accept that a large and very demanding crowd can push a player into his shell? It clearly happens.

Saw the goal on SSN earlier, decent finish but very poor defending. Hopefully he scores a lot of goals for then.

I think he has potential but he doesn't strike me as a Caixinha type player, he seems quite a laid back character whereas Caixinha wants players that fight for everything even in training

Dodoo was a very good finisher with us, and will be again when he returns. I still think he has a chance to make it with us.

We used to play Duncan Ferguson as a winger....
