McCoist has signed a frightening number of right backs during his tenure.

The lad at RB for Hamilton has been making noises this season; Ziggy Gordon?

I think Stephen O Donnell from Partick Thistle is decent.

I'd love to see Sinnamon given a go as well, especially as McAusland clearly isn't the answer IMO, but I rather suspect that Ally won't trust two 19 year olds on the same side of the pitch, given Aird is probably first choice ahead of RB.

Personally I would love it if Ally gave Sinnamon a chance. At least then we will know if he going to make the grade

This is the problem - why not??

Hearts had an 18 year old at CB (Jordan McGhee) alongside a 21 year old (Alim Ozturk) on Saturday and they pumped Dumbarton

Ally needs to trust the youngsters.

    Yeah lets play Ryan Sinnamon.

We should also bring back Gasperatto to play center half with McAusland.
While we are at it get Aird and McKay on both wings with Kal Naismith and Hemmings up front.

    Youth > talent

Out of the squad we have at the moment, would it be daft to try Bilel Mohsni at right back, and move McGregor to centre back?

Mohsni is scary at centre back, he likes to take unnecessary risks, and his concentration seems to lack at times, but would these risks be less dangerous if he was playing out wide instead of in front of our goal?

He has got a little bit of skill, likes to come forward with the ball, and has some experience playing as a winger, albeit only a hand full of games.

Considering the options we have in our squad, is it not worth try?

If you have a pretty established team, it is a good idea to test out a young inexperienced player at say, right back. Let him make his mistakes and bed into the team.

But I fear it would be unfair on this youngster mentioned (I'm out the loop and never heard of him). Our defence, like every facet of RFC is an utter shambles, so it's unfair to 'blood' a young kid under such 'onerous' conditions.

We're more likely to sign a 34 year Hutton on £7,000 per week for a year than give a young lad a chance in defence, let's not kid each other on.

What's Tom Hateley doing these days? I expected us to sign him last summer.

This position along with the centre backs needs the most attention for next season and if we had a scouting system in place i would not be that concerned but we dont and i am.

Ryan Sinnamon or Kyle Macausland for me.

Developing youngsters should have been the blueprint when we were in Div 3.

Having Foster or an out of position Mcgregor at RB depresses me! (dont care if he played well there for a few games this season, he is a CB!!)

When was the last time we really blooded a good youngster in defence?

Danny Wilson, although we sold him when he was still at an early development stage?

Our manager will probably get another centre half in to play

Surprised we haven't had more young attacking fullbacks, given how dominant we were in the league for so long.

We've tried a few young defenders in the last couple of seasons, but truth is they simply weren't good enough. Perry, Hegarty, Mitchell, Cole, McAusland, etc.

He would be better than foster at right back but then again broadfoot is a centre back originally
