1985 Hearts were top of the league and brought a huge away support, I think they got the whole Broomloan Stand. We started with a very young Scott Nisbet at centre forward and were never in the game. That wee tim John Colqhoun got both goals. The season Hearts blew the league on the last day.

1985: Hearts simply outplayed us that day.

1974: Sandy Jardine was I think top scorer at that point in 1974/75, but never scored another goal that season !

And an almost as young Davie McPherson at centre half who was AWOL for at least one of the goals. His performance coined the phrase "Bambi on Ice"

McPherson had been in the team for a while prior to that game though, made his debut under John Greig a few seasons before and had quite a lot of first team games by then.

Don't think Nisbet could have played many games before this one, I think he was only about 17 at the time.

2011: A Lee Wallace header clearly crossed the line before being scooped out by Frather Forthter, yet no goal was given. No conspiracy theory nonsense from Timothy or their cheerleaders in the Press. Oh was a surprise!

Scored 10 league goals , and as you correctly point out, never scored again that season.

1946: Anybody know why this game was played 'over the hill' at Hampden ?

I'm pretty sure that Ledley was fouling away in the box as he scored their goal.
