Alex Scott was put out of the game for some time when he was sent crashing into a boundary wall, finally returning to the fray with his head in bandages.Goals from Andy Matthew and Ian McMillan enabled Rangers to win 7-2 on aggregate, but they had been given first-hand experience of one of the more robust styles of play on the continent

1953 - It's always noticable how the crowds dipped in the 40's and 50's for Old Firm matches,no doubt attributable to them not turning up !

2006 - horrible day under PLG when Kenny Miller scored for the vermin.

2007 - no goals in the first half, we went in front right after half time with an absolute thunderbolt from Lee McCulloch.

1978

All the points we dropped at he start of the season would come back to bite us at the business end of that season.

even when the manky mob were dreadful in the 50's, they seem to have beaten us on more than a few occasions.

1967 I recall events on the terracing rather than the game itself that day. I was, fortunately, in the stand. Far too many were allowed on to the terrace. Many spilled out on to the pitch. I remember the players came out but the referee, sensibly, took them back in until the touchlines were cleared. The game must have been about half an hour late in starting. We scored near the end.

1987 We were a goal down. Kirk headed the ball into his own net to give us the equaliser.

Those scenes are mentioned in the Evening Times that day:

I'm sure the recoed attendance at Brockville was 23,100 for a Falkirk V Them game in the 1950's
Hence the crushing ???
