Derek Adams should have his place in that list. Have to appease the bigot though, of course.

Absolutely pathetic.

Who votes for this ? Is it other Managers ?

Can't see many of them voting for him given how he's been acting towards everyone this season. He's been found out as a bellend by everyone this season.

All 42 club managers plus Strachan have a vote.

Well if he doesn't get it, I'd blame reasons other than football.

Reasons like the fact Neil lennon's a c u nt

If he hadn't been shortlisted, it might just have tipped him over the edge.
Opportunity missed...........pity!

How can anyone win manager of the year when he is in a one horse race with a budget that is multiple times bigger than the rest of the league and then to win it with one of the lowest score's in history? European run I here the unwashed say! what the hell does Europe have to do with the Scottish league?

This award should go to the manager who has done the best with what he has at his disposal, something that tlb has not done in any way shape or form, the award is for managers who punch above there weight not ones who barley scrape bye with a team of players who could have won the league without a manager at all, they might have done a better job of it to be honest!

After TLB's wingeing about how none of his players were considered for awards, the media, ever fearful of being labeled anti-sellick, Irish, catholic, etc. etc. had to include him on the shortlist. Whether he wins MoY, will probably depend on how hard Lawell leans on them to 'do the right thing'.

Lemmon's great European run ? Didn't he set a new worst aggregate score in their European history when they lost 0-5 to Juventus ?

Haha. What was his wage budget like compared to the other teams? Surely their SPL campaign must be one of their worst is recent history.

Complete travesty if he wins it.

Season defined by a run in Europe courtesy of samaras cheating, winning a tainted and meaningless league unconvincingly, and getting beaten by st mirren in the semi-final of the league cup. And all that with a shit-load of money and much bigger squad compared to their rivals.

How bad is it when a complete and utterly thick Irish bigot bas***d can even be shortlisted for MotY? Who decided who was being shortlisted? Did board of directors at Septic fc. decide this? Or are their other morons responsible.

If Lennon does'nt win this after another tainted title there will be a major tantrum, clarification will be seeked, bigotry and secretaranism will be heralded as the main factor and a masonic conspiracy will be added for good measure.

Agreed. Shouts of "how did that c@nt win it??" from the crowd would be a joy to behold. If he took a beating from two young students, I would imagine most of the managers would take him in a square go.

Given his comments on the players vote I can't see many voting for him.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Lennon had deliberately caused a huge fuss over the player of the year award thinking this would ensure he won the Manager of the year award.
Lennon is easily one of the most egotistical Football Managers in the game and has regularly slated his own players to deflect criticism from his own failings.

my 3 candidates would be

Danny Lennon (winning trophy)
Allan Johnston (Winning division, cup and long long unbeaten record)
Pat Fenlon (taking Hibs back to cup final and improving on the shambles that was last season)

- all from the little I have seen of SPL football this season

Stuart McCall taking Motherwell into Europe yet again and has the best away record in the SPL. He should win it at a canter.
