View Full Version : SFA and Dunfermline

I must have missed the charge being brought by the SFA for Dunfermline of bringing game into disrepute by not paying HMRC.

I'm sure Rhegan had plenty to say of how it affected the sporting integrity of the game and was damaging to other clubs.

Or does the 150k fine and transfer embargo rule not apply to other clubs?

Hearts admitted to deliberatly not paying PAYE and witholding tax.

They were given a payment plan and not one peep from the SFA.

If they survive in some capacity will they be fast tracked to division three with no voting rights?
Who will go up divisions with their downfall?
What will Liewell, Doncaster and Regans take be on it all?

I'm sure a Dunfermline player was in the rags this week complaining of " no help " from the SFA.

As it stands the current Dunfermline is member of the SFL, something we weren't

Although how it stands if the merger of the two bodies goes ahead where a 'new Dunfermline' and how it applies to play football within the system will be interesting

Are we the only club in the world that has a rule book specifically for us?

You're correct.
A club in financial trouble gets a financial fine.
Bizarre doesn't begin to describe it.
I wonder if Green would consider demanding reimbursement?
Probably not as this would have been the oldco's fine.
Then again, it was his newco that had to pay it.
I'm confusing myself here now.

As in written for us, and only us.
Wasn't even the current rules used against Rangers, it was a new set of rules and punishments.

What about also failing to honour the players contracts?

Is that not worthy of a disrepute charge?

"the rules must be applied without fear or favour blah blah"

The corruption of the sfa would shame seb blatter at his worst.

The double standards are so blatant you actually think that they can't be real.

Rangers should be shouting every single one of them from the rooftops to the outside world.

What has happened here goes against all fairness , honesty and justice within sport.

Just wondering about the SFA.
Is it an SFA thing to deal with this or is it the SFL? Seeing as it's an sfl club just now.

Correct.

Those in 'power' got their own bigoted way and imposed sanctions way outwith their jurisdiction and kept kicking when we were down. Hertz have withheld HMRC money, yet were able to cut a deal (HMRC don't do deals...sound familiar?) and got hit with a transfer embargo....outwith a transfer window.

The whole thing stinks even more. Will the impartial media take anyone to task over this? Hell will freeze over before that happens.

I'd say Rangers refusing to take on first, Doncaster and now Regan has to be thought of and kept in mind as the ST renewals come whistling through the letterbox.

We've allowed the double-standards to go for years from both the corrupt Scottish football authorities and mhedia. I don't see much changing, tbh.

In a nutshell. The mhedia scum who squeezed " sporting integrity " into almost conversation or article about our plight when demanding endless punishments for us should also be brought to book.

A bigger deal needs to be made of this. The SFA have shown they are quite happy to attack Rangers but everyone else is exempt.

Really are a corrupt bunch of scumbags.

Sure the panel would love to discuss the sporting integrity issue, they always have in the past.

All this really enforces the need to get out of the corrupt clutches of the SFA. Don't think it's a possibility to get into the English leagues (but would love to be proved wrong) or as a member of an Atlantic League. Had enough of the cesspit of Scottish football.

It'll be tea and sympathy all round for Dunfermline on the phone-ins tonight, guaranteed. Any Bear that questions the mhedia's new found altruism in comparison to the open hatred we faced will be cast aside as " bitter ".

To be fair they haven't not paid them yet - we didn't get fined until after CW had run to the high court to insert D+P.

mpayton15277
25-03-2013, 18:05
The rules were rewritten when we went into admin and the new rules are:- the SFA will decide what punishment is appropriate depending on the circumstances.
In other words they could've used the punishments that they felt were appropriate for rangers as their guide for the new rules but they probably won't be trying to kill a club again- unless they have another opportunity to try to kill Rangers.

The embargo was given at the same time as 100,000 fine and CW getting 160,000 fine.

Compare and contrast to Masterton and Dunfermline.

Soooo,....um?....Im guessing the deadline has come and gone, Dunfermline havnt paid, but nobody from the SFA, SFL or HMRC.....nevermind the mhedia or the NHS or the numerous other agencies of the Welfare State - who have so egregiously lost out over Dunfermline/Masterton's downright sneaky business practices - have said a 'dicky bird' about it. Am I right?

^^^^This. Let's wait till they have officially failed to pay up and then see what is done. Given how recently our situation was dealt with they wouldn't dare try and do things differently with Dunfermline. :ninja:
