1956 - William Struth died at the age of 81.He had joined Rangers from Clyde as trainer in May 1914,replacing Jimmy Wilson following his death.Following the tragic death of William Wilton in 1920,William Struth was elected manager and over the next 34 years became perhaps the greatest club manager in the history of the game, rivalling the equally memorable records of others such as Matt Busby,Jock Stein and Herbert Chapman.During his spell in charge,Rangers won 18 League Championships, ten Scottish Cups, two League Cups,18 Glasgow Cups and 20 Glasgow Charity Cups.As impressive as this tally undoubtedly is,William Struth's chief contribution to Rangers was his ability to unearth talent from almost any quarter of the country, developing a network of scouts and informers who alerted him to the emergence of any possible talent. His network also worked in other ways for the benefit of Struth, advising him if any of his players stepped out of line whilst they were out of site of Ibrox - out of site they may have been, but never out of mind, and any player who did step out of line could expect a fierce broadside from the well known disciplinarian. In 1947 he was elected to the board of directors, finally relinquishing the manager's post in the summer of 1954

2008: A few days after the birth of Davis' first daughter I'm sure.
2010: Excellent overhead kick from Jelavic and a strong performance at RB by a certain Mr Andy Little, must have his days at Ibrox were numbered at that point
2011: Just terrible :(

2003 - The last real performance from the team that season. Emerson, Arteta, Arveladze and Lovenkrands were absolutely outstanding. So was Maurice Ross bombing on from right back.

1988: League Cup Semi-Final, nearly 54,000 against Hearts and I was amongst the crowd.

You'd be lucky to get half that for a League Cup semi now...
