View Full Version : 1m a Month

Can we, the fans do anything here to help raise this cash?

50,000 of us paying 20 a month? 20 a month is nothing, most of us would gamble, drink, smoke more than that a month, easily.

So 20 a month to help keep our club going is perfectly within reach.

Could this happen? Would administrators accept money from fans to help? Or do they only work with cuts etc, ie, no external cash coming in.

Surely there is a way that a website can be set up for this to happen? Wouldn't even take 50,000 people there would be folk that can afford more a month?

The Roller

I honestly see no reason why this couldnt work.

The time for talking is over, if we want our club to survive, albeit, maybe short term until the big tax case, then we MUST act.

We will have 50,000 in the stadium tomorrow, surely 20 a head isnt too much to ask?

I worry if this sort of thing cant get of the ground by end of next week then it never will.:(

a website is a must for donations why it hasnt happen since administration is unbeliveable unless the administrators are confident capital will be found elsewhere?

Saverangers was just a poll like website why it hasnt been actioned is worrying.

Its a no brainer and I would happily donate until the rest of the season to keep the club going without any cuts.

Again though....unless we have a contact within the club that can drive the idea forward then we're onto nothing.

We need an official channel through Rangers or the RST to set something on this scale setup. Anyone on here simply doesnt have the trust or facilities to do so.

Sell out every game for a start. Quarter season tickets are still available at 120.

Exactly.
Going on recent discussions Ally has been involved in talks with the administrators.......could this be our way in.
Surely someone on here has a direct link to Super?

If we are any kind of supporters at all this would be set up and running by next week. All it needs is a direct debit of 20 a month and we could keep the club rolling until we know the results of the tax case and maybe a buyer beyond.

This is the future of our club, the fabric of its existence, action needs to be taken NOW.

There is no money in SaveRangers.
Its a website gauging interest for the potential fan takeover scenario.

A lot of people who are willing to put in money can't make the games every week. Through work reasons I can't, but I know I'd still be willing to put money into Rangers every month if the means were available. There must be tens of thousands in the same position.

What I was meaning was the money that has been pledged to actually get it and use it instead of a fan takeover with a greater fan involvement to be put in place at a later date.

Is it to gauge what fans would invest IF we manage to come out of administration?

Suck,

would it not help SHORT TERM, ie, keep us alive until the summer?

then, we will know the tax case result, and hopefully be in a better position for a buyer.

This should be possilbe.

Im willing to give up time to help set this up if needed.

But how much money is in account has to be kept secret for obvious reasons.

Well the administrators need to start answering questions!

How have we gone through multiple seasons cutting debt left right and centre and now all of a sudden there is a 1m a month hole to be filled?

When will we see accounts of some sort?

This does not fill me with confidence in them.

A smart administrator would see that keeping our playing squad intact until summer, by any means necessary, would maximize funds through player sales. Especially if the money is not coming from the club but the fans. There is no downside for them here.

I would question their motives for rejecting such proposals.

I'm starting to think that Daryl King was spot on when he said that the only entity that the administrators aren't representing is the club itself
