They just booed the team off the park there,is Wenger really that bullet-proof or is it the boards fault for not releasing funds ?

Could be a very tough season for Arsenal.

Could be 4 or 5.

I remember a few years ago Arsenal went to Old Trafford and were smashed to pieces. They had injuries galore and Igor Stepanovs was in the back 4.

Also booed off at the Emirates Cup, whither he gets the sack or walks, can't see him lasting the season.

I would tell Wenger to either strengthen that squad significantly or find another job.

Wenger needs to stop being such a stubborn twat and just spend money.

Your philosophy is flawed, you ain't won anything in 6/7 years.

Change it.

He was abysmal, contributed absolutely nothing. Arsenal's squad is an absolute mess right now.

If Arsenal get put out the Champions League and Man Utd gub them, will Wenger get the sack?

Hernandez might be back then

Previously I think Wenger did very well keeping them as top 4 team spending only a fraction of what the others spent, but this season they have taken steps backwards and the others have continued on at the same pace.

there is talk as well about bendtner being sold as well

strange times ahead for Arsenal and wenger.

just been there too long?

or has the financial prudency just going tio fibally catch up with them?

they are heading into mid table on the evidence of the first 2 games.

They've gone as far as they can under Wenger. They need a shake up badly

Also, with re: to the season ahead... how long before their new captain Van Persie gets injured?

It's not a matter of IF, but WHEN.

Wenger very close to the majority of Arsenal fans turning on him.

Defeat away to Udinese and Man U and it will be the end for him.

Yeah, Bendtner & Nasri both have question marks next to them.

To be honest, he has cleared / is clearing a lot of the dead wood. Eboue, Denilson, Bendtner maybe, Clichy, Emmanual Thomas all guys they could do with losing, as well as a couple of others.

Problem is, he's replaced them mostly with youngsters yet again. I think he hoped that he wouldn't have to replace Cesc & Nasri & they would stay. Naieve...Stupid....but he's fecked things up & with everything going against him....injuries....sendings offs...suspensions....tough opening games, he just seems to be a man p!ssing against a tornado just now!

Totally agree. They seem to be just plodding along with little or no hope of winning the title, and that's been the case for a few years now.

I cant work out why he didn't punt Fabregas & Nasri earlier and make good use of the cash, on the basis that they would be gone at some point this summer.

Maybe the club are skint? The premiership cant continue to to be immune from the financial woes the rest of the world are feeling.

Well they have paid off their stadium. The Emirates is the most expensive ticket in the Premiership, and supporters are being asked to pay an extra 6% on this seasons season ticket from last year.

Despite The Emirates having 15,000 less seats, Arsenal make more money on a matchday than Man Utd.

Over the past couple of seasons they have sold Fabregas for 35m, Adebayor for 25m, 16m for Toure, 15m for Hleb, 7m for Clichy etc Must be over 120 million at least they have received in transfer fees, yet have only spent about 45m in the same. Remember they are about to sell Nasri too.

Being a Gooner must be frustrating.

Could you imagine the reaction on here if we had the sort if cash available to Arsenal and were being managed like that lol the place would implode
