If we dont do this now we will regret it as he will go on and prove himself in EPL i have no doubt of this! He is exactly what we need at the moment, pace, ability and can play wide or through the middle! Yes he is a bit raw but we have to take the chance at this stage or he will be out our price range. He is also a bluenose and would prob jump at the chance. Smudger and SA if u r reading get it done!

Been loads of threads on him, I agree that he would be a good addition to the team, excellent young player

To put a bid in requires cash - so far we have sold to buy Adam & Boogie + Season Ticket cash = the new signings. Whyte would need to find the cash to buy the lad - does anyone now really believe this 5m loaded to 15m this season tosh? Please wake up. Surely we can all see that the third rate signings we have made are why we can't beat two 'pub teams' in Europe?

He's definately a prospect. We may certainly need more cover especially on the left if wylde continues to refuse to sign a new deal.

I've only ever seen him play or noticed him during the cup final last season & he was pretty gash. I suppose its harsh to judge on just one game & many others have the opinion that he's pretty decent.

I wouldn't complain if we got him though!

WATP!!

McCoist says a striker is now a priority with Bedoya, McKay and Bocanegra in. Jamie Murphy would be the ideal striker, better value for money than Goodwillie would have been. Might need a season to settle in, but now Lafferty's over his injury we can afford to bring him as cover and develop him.

At a million he's worth a punt but the million should be structured and dependant on appearances, goals and caps.

To all the people saying sign Murphy, where would you play him? Wide? I'd rather have Templeton! Centre? I'd rather have someone else.

Murphy has played left wing for Motherwell for ages now though...

If we bid today, we will get him in about a fortnight due to our negotiating skills

agreed lets put a bid before the English teams move in. I'm sure we'll wait until someone makes a huge offer then bid slightly less so it looks like we've tried

Put a cheeky wee bid in the morra', if anything, it'll unsettle him for Sunday's game.

its going to be a long season unfortunately it seems like were skint and not willing to admit it. We have to do something substansial in this window or we will be a laughing stock.

It could also have the opposite effect and fire him up
