Here is a clip of him scoring 5 in the FA Youth Cup. Maybe some of you have seen more of him but he does look a star of the future.

His eye-catching display has already attracted the attention of manager Kenny Dalglish as he is now training with the Reds' star-studded first team.

Youth coach Rodolfo Borrell praised the youngster's display although he knows it is prudent for Sterling to remain grounded.

"To score goals is massive for any player and he is a player with a lot of potential, everybody can see this," he told the club's official website.

"Don't forget he is an U-16 player and that's what makes the performance even more impressive but we must protect this player."

He is 16 years old. They nabbed him from QPR last March.

Cracking prospect but is against a lethargic looking Southend team who failed to tackle any of the boys efforts

Totally uncalled for mate - and don't give me the offended bus thing - this is a racist remark - hopefully for you it wasn't posted at work or you might get a Richard Keys style free transfer to talkshite.

He could be making his debut against Sparta Prague tomorrow night.

Liverpool prodigy Raheem Sterling could become the club's youngest first-team player after his surprise inclusion in the squad to travel to face Sparta Prague.

The 16-year-old, who only celebrated his birthday in December, has flown with his club to the Czech Republic, but Steven Gerrard did not travel as the captain continues to recover from a groin injury.

Sterling has been receiving rave reviews all season for his work in Liverpool's Academy and he shot to new heights on Monday when he scored five goals in a 9-0 FA Youth Cup thrashing of Southend.

Should he feature against Sparta aged just 16 years and 71 days he will break by some margin the previous Liverpool record set by fellow Under-18 team-mate Jack Robinson, who made his Premier League debut against Hull City last May.

that's great but Stevie Lennon's performance in the final against Celtic was better, against a better team.

What happened to him again?
