View Full Version : Pardew 5 1/2 year deal confirmed

Sir Duncan Ferguson

Utter insanity :D

ALAN Pardew will be unveiled as Newcastle United's manager at St James's Park today as supporters try to come to terms with another shock decision.

Pardew will become Mike Ashley’s fifth managerial appointment in just three and a half years when he puts pen to paper on a five and a half year contract on Tyneside, and will immediately have to battle against public antipathy.

Ashley seems determined to really do damage at St.James Park.

Having got back up to the EPL and currently in mid-table with a wee bit of stability he goes and appoints someone the support will turn against very easily.

It´s Ashley they need rid off.

Having met him at a Sportsmans dinner a couple opf years ago, I can vouch that all the rumours are in fact true about Pardew - he is an absolute arse of a man.

I guarantee player revolt at Newcastle - they will hate the prick. An arrgoant, self obsessed arsehole of a man. Not popular withoin football circles - and that was evident the night I was in his company. No-one had a good word to say about him.

A big feck up by Ashley - Again !!!!

Can't get my head round this thing at all. There's absolutely no logic whatsoever to this sacking/appointment. You could just about understand it if Ashley was bringing in a manager with a huge reputation who has a proven record of winning competitions to try and take the club to a new level. But replacing a young manager doing a very good job with a guy who (with no disrespect) has spent his managerial career working with clubs operating at a level lower than Newcastle, seems very strange.

Pardew, as most of you are aware, was manager at WHUFC for three years.

I liked him, he got promotion, got the club to a Cup Final, in which Gerrard had the game of his life. That to a club like that, was a form of success.

But according to local rumour here, he was friendly (ahem) with the club`s PA and wasn`t around to supervise training on occasions.

Then club owner Magnusson got the hump and said bye-bye.

Since then in the last 4 years he hasn`t covered himself in glory.

Very interesting to see what happens.

To be fair I thought it was a strange appointment from Ashley, Pardew has fairly proved all the doubters wrong.

He used to be a talented manager but a masssive bell end, doesn't seem to be as much of a bell end now.

He, and Alan Carrs Da have done an excellent job.
