Help required bears.

I posted pictures that I scanned in from a steelwork brochure. They were pictures of Ibrox under construction - I posted them on the old board that got shut down. I have lost the originals and would be relieved if any one has them saved and could post them

Thanks in advance

I know the thread the guy was talking about - it was a brochure produced by the builders to mark the opening of the new stadium. It wasn't just random reconstruction pictures.

I did have the pictures saved on old hard drive but it's dead now. :(

The steelwork brochure has been posted a few times. I've got a copy of it somewhere. I'll try and dig it out for you.

In the meantime, my thread that someone has kindly posted further up this thread has a few good pics on it.

Thanks mate - The brochure came from a place I used to work at, the guy in charge of technical manuals & books let me take it home for 1 night
So i scanned it in and posted it on the old board - I would struggle to get another go of it.
I had the original scans saved in TIFF format - The computer they were on has died and I don't seem to be able to find any back-up of the pictures.

Thanks for the efforts - Some amazing pictures on your thread mate!!

I remember being in the office for Bison concrete in Falkirk, they had some crackin pictures of the new stands in their foyer. They supplied the concrete for the Govan, Broomloan and Copland stands.

Rex, I think all the ones you've posted (outwith the couple from the brochure) come from my Dad's collection. The first two that aren't great quality were done on an old scanner / scanning program before I managed to get them all up.

Waterside, here you go then mate...

Hope admin are ok with the size of them, figured it was worth keeping the original size for quality purposes

On seeing the seats at those times, with different colours, even though some were not of the Club's colour scheme, I think we should either revert to something similar, or at least get the Club's logo inserted somewhere within the seating system, as the one colour to my mind, does not look all that appealing.

These barriers were Archibald Leitch terracing barriers incidentally.

I hope this thread shows what the club were capable of in lean times, when we worked together to provide.

The Rangers Pools, all but paid for the construction of the modern Ibrox Stadium (Phase I).Our money, invested wisely and efficiently, providing at the time, the best stadium in the United Kingdom, 15 years before others were forced to.

i once heard that the building of the govan stand was brought forward.the supposed reason was the board had been assured privately by the thatcher government that hampden was to be demolished and that the completed stadium was to be used for scotland games and finals etc.apparently building the govan stand earlier than planned put Rangers into debt.i'm not sure what the original timescale was.looking back now on this massive venture, i feel it would be fair to say the board at the time didn't get the credit for what was achieved, probably because the team on the park was poor.
