what a game that was, everyone bar ourselves had us on for a do-ing after the Kaunas debacle. Nakamura's free kick in the last minute really disappointed me though as 4-1 would have been a better reflection on the game. 4-2 made it look a bit closer than what it was

Funnily enough, the week after I was at a wedding reception. The Groom came over to me and we were talking about the game. He had seen me in the Piggery and he was telling me it was his first visit to the cesspit.

He ended the conversation by telling me "It was definetaly the best day of my life"

Might want to keep that from your bride big man :)

Throw in 2-4, 68 Bud hat trick and 2-4 Ne'erday, 94, Bomber helping escort a "fan" from the premises, as well as that one.

What a beasting big Danny Cousin gave them that day, had McAnus and Caldwell greetin like big lassies all game.

Almost the perfect game of football - Miller scoring after that banner they had, Mendes screamer, then they got a glimmer of hope when Cousin went off only for big Vinegar to make it 10 v 10 less than a minute later!

Then the fat Pole topping the day off nicely with his comedy capers :D :D

We then stood outside the Ally Bar on Duke Street goading timmy as they came back from the game every one of them with face like a well skelped erse :)

My only disappointment of that day is we didn't stick about 7 past them as they were all over the gaff as soon as Mendes scored that rocket.

That is my first (and remains only - until Feb this year) trip to the Piggery.

We were under a wee bit of pressure early doors and then big Cousin out of nowhere belts down the line and beat the dodgy one at his near post.

Miller then hits a cracking volley described as a 'scuff' in the following day's Mail and Mendes scores the greatest goal I've ever seen live at a game. Topped off by Muppet spilling an easy one for Miller and a big cheer going up for Nakamura's goal.

Enjoy the bit in the highlights where he scores and that lot all start cheering. You're still 4-2 down in the dying seconds of a game against your biggest rivals in your own midden. Well done.

One of the most dishonest refereeing performances ive ever seen.

Great result and a fine performance by the whole team. Think Broadfoot had a terrific game iirc but its not right the way people like Mcdonald(and others) get away with helping Celtic out when Rangers are on top.

That was the perfect time for Rangers to speak about intimidation.

I have only seen the foul from one angle and feel the free kick was a bit soft ( I think he dived). It took the shine off the game for me.

Ne`erday 94 was the mother of all 4-2 games.

3-0 up in twenty minutes, pitch invasions by the slime, riots among the slime supporters on the terracing, mucho dancing in the Rangers end and the Radio Clyde commentary team assaulted in the stand by green and grey malcontents.

Ah, happy days :-)

Bud only scored 2 in '68 4-2, his hat-trick was in 4-3 Glasgow Cup 4-3 win.

And a hat trick in the Scottish Cup semi final, too.

One season and eight goals at the cesspit.

It has got to be some sort of scoring record at an away ground.

I'd rarely known such complete pessimism from our entire fanbase going into an Old Firm game. Even in the horror days under McLeish there was usually a naive optimism on Old Firm day.

We just went out there and smashed them. Walter playing 4-4-2 was a masterstroke, nobody predicted that. Also, those who think Kevin Thomson was shit should really watch that match again
