As in the title, I am sure that Sandy would have tears of happiness in his eyes if he was here today watching the happenings and progress we have made, and he was in the forefront of it all in the darkest days and was instrumental in our fightback. You will never be forgotten Sandy!

His contribution to Rangers throughout his life, and more so in the darkest of times, will never ever be forgotten and especially on a day such as today.

Ditto, every time I see his name the song "I'm a bluenose, I'm a bluenose and I don't care who knows a bluenose, a bluenose am I. (repeat). Then Sandy, Sandy, Sandy in royal blue..." Loved the bones of him :-(

Agreed, he marched on Hampden to protest about the club's treatment and was not afraid to speak out. Today is an important day to remember him.

Agree 100% and I was fortunate enough to see him play many times for Rangers as a young man. Great player and a real Ranger. RIP Sandy WATP!

Would love if the club played the band of brothers theme tune at every Ibrox home game with a picture and video montage of Sandy and the founding fathers on the big screen because to me and every other bear we are a band of brothers.

Sandy was the first person i thought of when i heard the news about the retail deal, once it was clear the final hurdle was gone for us to go forward.

Legend is a word that is used far too freely amongst the important people in our family but he truly was a Legend.

You are 100% correct, legend is a word that is loosely used to describe an ex player and there are are some ex players of many clubs who truly are legends to their fans and Sandy is at the top of that list as he was much more to us than just a great player, he put his heart and soul into playing for us and in the end fought for our very survival, leading from the front! We owe him a debt that can only be repaid by continuing the work he helped instigate in ensuring the very survival and success of Rangers. There are other Rangers legends but he is up there at the very top with them.

This.

My great uncle died in 2014 and he was a lifelong season ticket holder. Wish he was still around to see the club back on its feet.
