Excuse my ignorance, but who exactly is Tony Docherty? I assume he might have some taig connection hence the comment by the OP. No relation to that old hate filled bigot Tommy?? If he is, he is not welcome.

He's McInnes no.2 a decent guy from a nice EK family and possibly a good asst mgr (I dunno), but he's a Septic man head to toe.

IF McIness is the best man for the job and IF Docherty is a major reason McIness gets the job. Then who gives a flying... Couldn't care if he is related to the Pope if he gets us back to the top

If he came in and done a professional job and did well (which I'd assume he would if he gets it) then it would go down fine

Who honestly cares? Simpson is quite clearly never going to come but Docherty just because he is a Septic fan?

I'd sooner not have somebody in charge at Ibrox who chooses to have Neal Simpson as part of his management team.

I'd not have dome idly in charge at Ibrox who chooses to give Neal Simpson as part of his management team.

Who the funk is Dome Idly?:D

The board had better not even think about appointing Derek McInnes.

I know Docherty is a bheggar. Should be nowhere near Rangers.

McInnes wont get the job.

To be fair, unless the board agree on financing the complete restructuring of the team in the summer then we'll struggle to get someone on par with McInnes.

...and yet people are creaming themselves at the thought of De Boer. More chance of me getting the job.

This in spades ^^^^

What's the criteria? Give him the job because he's better than what we have? I want the best and surely to f.uck he isn't the best out there. If he is we should all pack it in right now.

Anyone in the support whose level of ambition for Rangers is Derek McInnes demonstrates just how far we have fallen.
When we stop having the ability to stand tall and look upwards is the day we should all pack it in.
Rangers needs a man who is big enough for the job, and the guy at Aberdeen isn't him.

It's been said several times and worth repeating..... If McInnes couldn't beat a celtc team managed by Delia with no Rangers in the league, is he the man for the job? ....I don't think so.

No McInnes or any his sheep or scummy septic counterparts should be anywhere near Ibrox.

Give me one reason why McInnes should get the job.

BTW past Rangers connection means nothing...there are hundreds out there who could lay claim to that.

CaptainCourageous

We've actually got some within our support who would have a bheggar as our assistant manager.

After watching another pathetic display today, I'm so disappointed but not surprised. Every time We've had an interim Manager, It's based on a disaster of what's happened before, Otherwise we wouldn't be have an interim Manager.
The problem is whether it was Tommy McLean, Alex Totten, Ian Durrant, Kenny McDowall or Graeme Murty, Why the **** do they always look defeated during the game.
If you had 1or 2 goes at running the team surely you would put your absolute heart and soul into it.
The very thought of Paul Hartley (possibly the worst manager in Scotland behind Magoo) beating you you would drive you on.
Watching Murty nibbling on the zip of his jacket when the team needed a Manager....**** me!!

Bit of a contradiction there straight away.

Just because someone supports the tims doesn't make them a bad person.

Staunch meters going off the chart with you.

The fact that you even ask that question, shows how little we have progressed, and how some still want to live in the past.
Getting our Club back on it's feet is all that matters, or should be all that matters.

Absolute garbage.

There will already be names who have applied who could do a far better job, there is no doubt in my mind about that.

Neil Simpson absolutely cannot be allowed to be part of any McInnes package.

I don't think it'll come to that anyway because I don't think we'll appoint McInnes, but if for whatever reason we did and Simpson was part of the deal, the board should be left it no doubt that it would not be in any way acceptable for him to become an employee of Rangers Football Club.
