That is absolutely brilliant. This is what football is all about. It's not about overpaid, overhyped prima donnas. It's about guys like this, and what it means to this lovely little country

Nicely put, fantastic night for a volcanic rock with 300,000 inhabitants. I was speaking to an Islander this morning her voice was rather rough she said her son is working there at the moment and the whole land is madness:)

No I didn't think it was either. Its alright for joe bloggs to celebrate like loonies but for professionals of an international home team when some of them probably play in England is rather embarrassing.

Icelandic commentator is brilliant. The Welsh team celebrating are an embarrassment.

I know quite a few English people that hate the Welsh and vice versa. People go on about the 'Auld Enemy' etc, but England vs Wales is definitely a rivalry as well.

I think the Welsh will have faced some pretty condescending stuff since they qualified, worse than the shite on tv about the Welsh Euro fairytale.

It wasn't cool to post it online though.

It's certainly a much bigger rivalry than England v Scotland now.

The international equivalent of Rangers v Queens Park.

Very clever. Especially from those who play in England. I hope they get the reaction they deserve from England fans next season.

Being half Scottish, half English I have always supported both National sides and I watched the game against Iceland at my son's.
As the game headed in to the last five minutes or so we both found ourselves NOT wanting England to equalise but hoping that Iceland would win it. Well done Iceland - thoroughly and completely deserved - and at least you got rid of Roy for us.

As for the Welsh players - if that's what they want to do it is their choice but they would do well to remember which league most of them earn a fortune in. If they are so anti-English (and some of them are more or less English) let them play in the Welsh league.

Come on, I wouldn't say that Queens Park are quite as amatureish as England.

Just seen this thread. Brilliant from the Commentator.

As for the Welsh players, some folk really do need to dry their eyes. We are constantly moaning that players don't show the same passion as fans and then when they do they are branded unprofessional. A bit of football rivalry, nothing more.

Ps I wouldn't worry about Welsh players being booed. The Engerlund faithful will be doing that to their own first of all.
