He any good?

Desperate for a striker it seems.

I think Benteke would be worth a gamble for them.

Silly money in the epl this year as a west ham fan think we have the making of a good squad if we keep payet and the manager

Seem to be building a good squad, but I think a quality centre half is a priority.

Got tickets for the first game v Juventus in august and looking forward to seeing the team with some new additions.

Funny money for the likes of West Ham to be slinging around. Changed times indeed!

Mental money

Whenever I think of the money in England getting ridiculous I always think back to a time in which Daniel Cousin left us to go to Hull. That's my first recollection of the penny dropping that the money down there was becoming mental.

How much did he go for?

1.5m was reported. It wasn't so much the fee, though. It was the fact that players had started to see playing for a team like Hull as a more appealing option than Rangers due to being in that league with their ridiculous wages.

West Ham are going places - and when they get taken over in a couple of years by big money, they will really take off. Everything is in place for them to be "the next big thing".

West Ham are really looking to progress. It's good to see, too many teams don't build on their successes

Yep, seems to be the case, a few reliable sources such as Di Marzio saying so.

Interested to see how the lad gets on, the potential seems to be there, it's if he can bring it consistently to a higher level.

How much was your ticket? I tried to get one but they were asking for 96 all the 20 tickets sold. emailed juventus ticket office but they said it would be a few weeks before away tickets went on sale
