They have just signed a 1 billion pounds shirt deal. I just want to cry. Where is the competitive element in football now? A game for less than 10 clubs now to be at the top across Europe. Probably 6 clubs in reality.

They cant win their own league so its not as if this money guarantees them success.

Adidas... this was always going to happen after Adidas gave Man utd so much money, other Adidas clubs like Chelsea, Juventus and Milan will be looking to up there deals when the contracts are up for negotiation...

Juve are new to Adidas this season. Few years to go before they can renegotiate I'd imagine.

Look at the new Messi contract that probably pays more than every footballer in Scotland combined or at least can't be far off it.

Competitive ?.....We are talking different planets and in leagues where there is only one of the 'super clubs' (eg. France) the league becomes a joke.

At least big English clubs, despite all the money washing around maintain a relatively shite level. Manchester United being a great example of how major amounts of money don't have to change a club.

and that Adidas t shirt that costs 0.50p to make and sells for 20 is now going to cost 25. Turn the clock back to around 1976 and start again.

Really does make me feel sick the money getting thrown about these clubs, whilst we fight Ashley just to merely make a couple of quid from selling our own bloody shirts.

Frightening, while we are battling just to ensure the club recieves full profit.

I seen a wee thing on sky sports news around the time ZZ was made manager where they interviewed their ex president Perez and he stated Real have a €600m a year budget, that is mind boggling.

We should all just give up and go home. What's the point anymore?

The gap between the elite Euro clubs and the rest has reached obscene levels. It's certainly not a 'competition' anymore.

Adidas now pay a total of 309 million every year to clubs who wear their kit.

The clubs are Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Juventus and Milan.

Which means an authentic Milan 'adizero' home jersey costs 120 or if you add name or number and two sleeve badges, 145.

it's crazy to think how much money is going about football these days and you're average man in the street isn't any better off.

in fact probably worse off with the prices of tickets, merchandise etc

Dry yer eyes. In the nineties adidas and Nike flung fortunes at us.

Football now is a joke, the chance of us, the vhermin, Ajax etc of ever winning a major Euro tournament is nigh on impossible.

And we get 75p from every 10, from the fat bastard Ashley.

That aside, football is not football anymore, the money makers have made sure of that.

Wind your neck in, on what plane of reality is €145 for a ****ing football shirt a good deal for ordinary punters?

Would be good if everyone just bought the fake kits off ********** and the whole lot came crashing down.
