View Full Version : question re buying back of unsold shirts

is it a fee or is there an actual amount of physical shirts that the club would take ownership of?

was just wondering on a work around for the club if there were shirts that they would have to actually buy.

post purchase from SD - a special small, medium or large team poster (or similar item that does not fall within the revenue contract with SD) with a free attached shirt for 20% more than the purchase price of said shirt??

sold on Match day by vendors around the ground.

I think it's a simple:

Club buys 100,000 shirts in total...and it pays them 1.5m (for example). If they sell 75,000 then they still pay 1.5m.

In that case club should indeed sell them cheaper as there will still be a mark up but they will at least shift the units and easily cover the costs paid to SD.

What I'm not sure about is whether once we 'buy them' we are indeed free to sell them or whether we need to use SD shops to sell them as well...in which case whole deal is laughable, surely illegal and obviously signed by criminals OR people with an IQ in double figures.

Wonder if it's a set amount we have to buy each year or by what we sold last year.
