Disgusted that we seem to be easy targets. Let's sort this once and for all and hound the mainstream media about our club being ridiculed at every opportunity by these tweets

I'm quite sure if the Pope wanted to come to Ibrox he'd get in and back out completely unmolested.
Now if she had said "playing with fire like a uniformed soldier going into the piggery" . . . then would have been more accurate.

Don't see what's wrong with that. The pope going to Ibrox would be a terrible idea. The fact that she thinks a politician going out campaigning in this supposedly free speaking country is the more worrying point.

She's implying he would be assaulted, or worse. Look at the "scuffle" Murphy was caught up in

The truth is, even if the Pope did turn up at Ibrox, nothing would happen to him. None of us would turn up to see him. John Knox at Parkhead? She'd probably call it suicide. That's how the warped mind of timmy works

A no mark who embarassed herself and Scotland when she was on question time. Maybe she should ask why sturgeon can go walk about in a presidential way, takng selfies and giving speeches uninterupted whilst Murphy is jostled and denied free speech. The snp send their stormtroopers to disrupt meetings, they did it in the referendum and are doing it again. I still dont understand how any sane person can vote for these scum

Folks need to de-sensitise themselves to Twitter. Barely a moment goes past without some attention seeking individual expressing some ill thought out comment, and all too many rising to the bait.

Twitter should come with warnings, the obvious ones to those who overvalue their self-opinion, but also to the easily offended.

Life is too short FFS.

Nail on head. The SNP remind me of Celtic FC supporters. Claim to be the victims when in actual fact they are the bullies.

I have a couple of friends who voted Yes in the referendum and have since joined the SNP party. You should hear the bitterness, anger and hatred in their voices when you bring up politics. It's like they've been brainwashed and genuinely believe if you don't share their viewpoint you are a big traitor to Scotland wanting to screw Scotland over.

So there's a politician campaigning in the streets - not unheard of during a General Election campaign - and yet when "chaos" (as Reader describes it) occurs, it is the politician at fault, and not his opponents who assembled there purely to shout abuse at him?

She seems to stick up for freedom of expression, but only for folk who are being abusive about it.

Nice warped Nat logic there.

I wonder then, had this been an SNP politician and a Unionist rabble had descended upon him/her and begun to shout abuse, whether it would have been the SNP politician to blame in Ms Reader's eyes?

Not for the first time, she is making a ham-fisted attempt at excusing the inexcusable, purely because she doesn't have the guts and fair-mindedness to criticise people from the same political side as her.

From her Wikipedia page....

Reader is writing a book for publication in 2016 about her great-uncle Seamus (or James) Reader, who was head of the Scottish Brigade of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, when the Irish War of Independence broke out in 1919, later becoming a founder of the abortive Scottish Republican Army, which attempted to replicate the Irish struggle in Scotland between the wars.[14] On Facebook, she posted that he: "was in command of 4,000 Scots involved in the Irish Rising build-up and the Irish war against The British state. In telling the story I felt my ancestor was passing the baton to me to tell the truthful story of this time.

She has an opinion which is clearly aligned to her personal politics.

It was a rabble with the usual suspects present with megaphone to drown out any opposing voice.

It was another Nationalist, Herr Hitler, who said in Mein Kampf..what you cannot win persuasion you should take by force....that is the dictum of these street protagonists.
