There's a poll at the bottom of the article asking fans if they think the decision is fair?
Isn't it against the roolz n aww that to display political banners?

The report is very slanted against St Johnstone Tims only mentioned at the end.

No idea what these kind of flags are doing inside Scottish football grounds anyway. And we've been guilty of it too.

Was just thinking the same. That's some record they're going for with this run.

It's a nation's flag.

Personally I think people taking them to Scottish football grounds are absolute imbeciles but it's a bit of a silly decision in my opinion.

surprise surprise A Celtic spokesman said: “We have asked UEFA for written reasons regarding this decision and at this stage would not be able to comment further.”

What's the difference in waving. Palestinian flag and an Irish flag.

Forget the political implications involved. How can anyone be fined for displaying a flag of a state recognised by the UN?

Translated as wait until it is forgotten about and we say nothing.

I don't see how any flag should be banned as everyone is entitled to some freedom of expression, but if it has a political statement on it or used while shouting political statements then I suppose that is different

Its a terrorist flag. The Fakestinians are not a nation and never have been.

Someone could complain about the union/saltire flag at Ibrox then on saturday as that had a political message on it. no doubt some tims have alredy tried.

celtic fans were waving wee green 'yes' banners the other week also- does that get a fine?

its folk waving flags though, who really gives a phuck?

Is that now the last 7 or 8 years that Uefa have fined the filth?

About time a stand was closed.

UEFA could close 2 stands and nobody would notice the difference. :D

Quite a lot of people seemed to care about the Palestinian flag at the Dumbarton game :ninja:

All for the filth getting fines, but to be honest that is f*cking nonsense from UEFA.

Tells me now that the two clowns who were waving the Palestine flag at Ibrox on two occasions were trying to get the club into trouble,Anyone flying this rag at Ibrox I would hope our fans will remove them from them like they did against Dumbarton.

It's also once more we see how corrupt UEFA are,The unwashed have been fined at least 6 times in the last 8yrs due to their fans behaviour.

The last time they were fined,Were there not also sanctions added to it if they were reported again, which is the case now.

Rangers were fined quite heavily and our fans were banned from an away game in Europe and had the threat of having a stand closed for our next away game and that was for singing a song in Eindhoven which still no one knows what it was.
