Spurs v Liverpool kick off 1:30 ss1.

Have spurs to win this one, playing well so far. Liverpool not looking great at the back and will be intresting to see how look Mario lasts on the pitch. I give him 70 mins until he gets sent off.

Hopefully spurs will be able to cope with the pace of sterling.

Leicester v Arsenal ss1 4:00 kickoff

Think it will be a close game with arsenal winning 1-2

This is shaping up to be a fascinating game. Pochettino appears to have gotten Spurs back on track, they are now playing with a renewed sense of purpose and self-belief that was largely absent last season. They will also want revenge for the humiliation meted out by Liverpool during their last encounter.

As to Liverpool who thus far haven't gotten into first gear - they clearly miss Suarez - and will be pushed to make the top 4 IMO, especially with having to deal with the added burden of European football. Integrating such a large number of new players into the squad will also test Rodgers' capabilities to the max, as will having to coping with Balotelli - whose signing will prove a huge mistake by Rodgers.

I'm going for a 2-1 Spurs win.

Everytime the ball goes to Gerrard the speed of liverpools play slows down...

The EPL is a young man's league. With the pace and physical effort required he's getting on and in such an open formation, he will be exposed. He has had a great career but Liverpool need to be looking for a replacement ASAP.

You look at say Chelsea and the engine room is full of youth, a player like Gerrard has put his body on the line so many times he just doesn't have the motor any more to keep up with a Willian.

To compensate he seems to be trying too many Hollywood passes and is starting to miss a few.

No idea, but there's definitely something odd going on.

I really hope Cazorla is wide left today though, at least he offers something defensively unlike Ozil who he keeps shunting out there.

Sanogo is the "pet project" of Wenger, sort of him trying to show he can do the Anelka again by developing a player and then selling him on for a huge fee

the unfortunate thing is that Sanogo is nowhere near Anelka's level and those 4 goals he scored in preseason means that Wenger will more likely not look to spend any money on Monday on a striker

Maybe I'm missing something but every time I've seen him he's looked woeful. Campbell looks the far better player.

Decent performance from Liverpool, but they need to be more ruthless. A few chances should have been taken and they failed to slot in Sturridge on a few occasions.

They still look really vulnerable at the back too, both before and after Koscielny went off. They should still win but they seem to be really easy to get at. They've conceded in all 3 games this season to Palace, Everton and Leicester.

This season:

Scrappy 2-1 win at home to Palace with a setpiece goal and fortunate break of the ball to Ramsey for the winner, 1-0 over 180 minutes to Besiktas, fortunate last week to get a draw with one scrappy goal and a lucky misplaced pass leading to Giroud's header and then struggling today.
